Tropical Garden

Take a moment of your time … rest your senses … sit down and listen to the waterfall flowing and watch how its mist embraces you … You are invited to enjoy the multi-coloured array of plants in the first Tropical garden found in Slovenia.

We have enriched the resources found in the natural landscape of Prekmurje with a piece of diverse tropical wilderness – a garden of tropical and economic tropical plants. Besides orchids, Ocean Orchids exhibits numerous interesting tropical and subtropical plants from all over the world in this garden.

Besides viewing decorative tropical plants, visitors can, in a natural environment, become familiar with economic tropical plants that we encounter every day yet maybe do not know them very well – you can see the plants such as vanilla, coffee, pepper, papaya, avocado and many others. Moreover, visitors can admire an extensive collection of Anthuriums and climbing plants.

The tropical garden is 6 metres in height and extends over 400 m².
There is a circular path leading through the garden, which enables visitors to see all plants at close-up. You can also sit in the garden, rest your senses, and enjoy the beauty of tropical nature.
