Bromeliaceae
There are lots of genera found in the Bromeliaceae flowers, the most popular of them being Guzmania, Aechmea, Vriesea, Tilandsia and Neoregelia. In nature, Bromeliaceae are found in both Americas, in the area extending from Florida (Tilandsia) to southern Peru. There is only one genus present in western Africa, which is Pitcairnia. Plants in different genera differ by blossoms, which grow from the centre of the rosette-shaped structure, size and the pattern of the leaf edge.
